Harley-Davidson-dealer Silver Lake uit Geel werd onlangs uitgeroepen tot grote Benelux-winnaar van de 'Battle of the Kings'-wedstrijd. De twaalf deelnemende dealers kregen toen de opdracht om hun creativiteit los te laten op de Harley-Davidson Street™ 750. H-D Silver Lake, dat ervoor koos om de H-D Racer uit de jaren zeventig van de vorige eeuw als inspiratiebron te gebruiken, kwam als winnaar uit de bus en plaatste zich zo voor de volgende ronde.
In de volgende fase nemen negen nationale 'Custom Kings' het in een grote Europese stemronde tegen elkaar op. De vijf dealers met het meeste aantal stemmen gaan uiteindelijk door naar de finale op het legendarische customisation event Wheels and Waves van 11 tot 14 juni 2015 in het Franse Biarritz. Brussels (12 May, 2015) – Staff from authorized Harley-Davidson dealerships throughout the Benelux competed against each other in the 'Battle of the Kings' contest to demonstrate their originality and imagination in applying their customization skills to the blank canvas of the Harley-Davidson Street™ 750 motorcycle, the latest model in the Harley-Davidson lineup.
Harley-Davidson Silver Lake from Geel, Belgium, is selected as the Benelux top custom bike builder and will compete with winners from other European countries during the second stage of the competition.
This second stage will see nine national champions go head to head during the European round from 11 May until 28 May. Five finalists based on public votes at http://www.h-d.com/customkings will then advance to the grand finale at the legendary customisation event Wheels and Waves in Biarritz, France from 11 to 14 June, where a jury will crown the European 'Custom King'.
